TPIM Cooling System Temperature Sensor - Removal






TPIM COOLING SYSTEM TEMPERATURE SENSOR






WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury Service Precautions

1. Perform HEV specific high voltage power down and high voltage isolation check safety procedures. Battery System - High Voltage Power Down
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Disconnecting the 12 V battery from the vehicle within two minutes of the last ignition key transition from Off to Run may cause a Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) State Of Charge (SOC) mismatch.

3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Drain the TPIM cooling system TPIM Cooling System Draining

NOTE: DO NOT spill coolant on electrical connections or connectors.

5. Disconnect the temperature sensor electrical connector.
6. Remove the temperature sensor (2).
