Generator - Installation






4.0L





1. Position generator (1) to engine and install two mounting bolts (2) and (3). Tighten bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





2. Connect field wire connector (4) into generator.
3. Install B+ terminal (2) and nut (3) to generator mounting stud. Tighten nut to 13 Nm (115 in. lbs.)
4. Snap plastic protective cover (1) to B+ terminal.
5. Install drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
6. Connect the negative battery cable, tighten the nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
