Front Bumper Corrosion
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves the inspection of front bumpers for corrosion and if necessary replacing.
MODELS:
2009-2010 (DS) RAM 1500 Pickup
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built after July 01,2008 (MDH0701XX) and before May 25, 2010 (MDH0525XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may notice surface corrosion on the face of the bumper, close out panel and/or around the mounting bolts at the top of the bumper.
DIAGNOSIS:
1. Inspect the front bumper for corrosion and pits as well as stress crack around the mounting bolts? Were any of these symptoms found?
a. Yes >>> Proceed to the repair procedure.
b. No >>> Continue further diagnosis this bulletin does not apply.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove and discard the front bumper, close out panel and all mounting fasteners.
Refer to the detailed removal procedures available in: DealerConnect >

2. Install New Front Bumper, Close out panel and mounting hardware. Refer to the detailed Installation procedures available in: DealerConnect > TechCONNECT under:
Service Info > 13-Frame and Bumpers > Bumper, Front > Installation.
