HEAD BOLT REUSE/REPLACE

A cylinder head that is cracked between the injector bore and valve seat can be pressure tested and reused if OK; however, if the crack extends into the valve seat insert bore, the cylinder head must be replaced.

CYLINDER HEAD TORQUE & SEQUENCE





Step 1 70 Nm (52 ft.lbs.)
Step 2 Back off 360 degrees
Step 3 105 Nm (77 ft.lbs.)
Step 4 Verify 105 Nm (77 ft.lbs.)
Step 5 Rotate All Bolts 1/4 Turn (90 degrees)


INTAKE MANIFOLD TORQUE

Intake Manifold cover-to-cylinder head bolts 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

EXHAUST MANIFOLD TORQUE & SEQUENCE

Exhaust manifold to cylinder Head 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
