Rear Blower Motor Power Module - Removal






REMOVAL

WARNING: The heat sink for the rear blower motor power module may get very hot during normal operation. If the rear blower motor was turned on prior to servicing the rear power moduler, wait five minutes to allow the heat sink to cool before performing diagnosis or service. Failure to take this precaution may result in serious injury.





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air outlets (1) Air Outlet - Removal.
3. Remove the dome lamps (3).
4. Remove the screws (4 and 7) that secure the front, center and rear roof duct trim panels (2, 9 and 8) to the roof duct.
5. Remove the front roof duct trim panel by sliding it forward.
6. Remove the rear and center roof duct trim panels by sliding them rearward.
7. Disengage the retaining tabs that secure the air intake grille (5) into the rear evaporator trim panel (10) and remove the grille.
8. Remove the screws (6) that secure the rear evaporator trim panel to the roof duct.
9. Remove the rear evaporator trim panel by sliding it to the right of the vehicle.





10. Rotate the rear blower motor power module (3) counterclockwise 1/4 turn and remove it from the rear evaporator housing (1)
11. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the rear blower motor power module and remove the module.
