LEFT EXHAUST MANIFOLD






NOTE: Care must be taken to protect the cylinder head covers and the intake manifolds powder coating from scrapes and abrasions.

1. Open trunk lid. Remove battery cover. Disconnect negative battery cable (1).





2. Raise vehicle on hoist.
3. Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical.
4. Loosen and remove V-Band clamp (1) from exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold connection and discard.

NOTE: Do not reuse V-Band clamp.

5. Slide exhaust pipe off of the exhaust manifold.





6. Remove left and right engine mount retaining nuts (2).
7. Lower vehicle.





8. Remove air cleaner housing (1)Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
9. Remove power steering reservoir and mounting bracket.





10. Remove front suspension cross tie (1).





11. Remove cylinder head coverCylinder Head Cover(s) - Removal.





12. Using a block of wood and a suitable jack under the oil pan, raise engine enough to remove exhaust manifold.
13. Remove exhaust manifold (4) and gasket (1).
