Tail Stop Turn Lamp - Installation






LAMP

CHRYSLER





1. Check to be certain that the plastic grommet (2) is in good condition and properly installed in the outboard side of the tail lamp seat (1) of the body sheet metal.
2. Be certain the fascia bracket is snapped into place on the bottom of the rear lamp unit housing. The lamp and bracket must be installed as a unit.





3. Position the rear lamp unit (4) to the lamp seat (3) of the body sheet metal.
4. Reconnect the two body wire harness connectors to the Light Emitting Diode (LED) and the bulb socket connector receptacles on the back of the lamp housing.
5. Align the ball stud (1) on the back of the lamp housing with the plastic grommet in the lamp seat and the W-clips of the fascia bracket on the bottom of the lamp with the body sheet metal openings.
6. Using hand pressure, push firmly and evenly on the outboard top and bottom of the lamp until the ball stud snaps into the grommet and the fascia bracket W-clips are engaged through the body sheet metal.
7. From the inside of the trunk, install the two plastic wing-nuts (2) that secure the studs of the tail lamp to the lamp seat. Tighten the lower nut first.
8. Push the upper edge of the rear fascia into the fascia bracket until it snaps into place.
9. Restore the trunk carpeting to cover the back side of the lamp seat.
10. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

DODGE





1. Check to be certain that the plastic grommet (2) is in good condition and properly installed in the outboard side of the tail lamp seat (1) of the body sheet metal.
2. Be certain the fascia bracket is snapped into place on the bottom of the rear lamp unit housing. The lamp and bracket must be installed as a unit.





3. Position the rear lamp unit (3) to the lamp seat (1) of the body sheet metal.
4. Reconnect the two body wire harness connectors (2) to the Light Emitting Diode (LED) and the bulb socket connector receptacles on the back of the lamp housing.
5. Align the ball stud on the back of the lamp housing with the plastic grommet in the lamp seat and the W-clips of the fascia bracket on the bottom of the lamp with the body sheet metal openings.
6. Using hand pressure, push firmly and evenly on the outboard top and bottom of the lamp until the ball stud snaps into the grommet and the fascia bracket W-clips are engaged through the body sheet metal.
7. From the inside of the trunk, install the two plastic wing-nuts (4) that secure the studs of the tail lamp to the lamp seat. Tighten the lower nut first.
8. Push the upper edge of the rear fascia into the fascia bracket until it snaps into place.
9. Restore the trunk carpeting to cover the back side of the lamp seat.
10. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
