Keyless Entry - Passive Door Handle(s) Inop/DTC's Set

(DTC) B25AA-01, B25A9-01, Service Keyless System Displayed In EVIC, Or Passive Entry Door Handle Inoperative
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing and replacing both the front driver's and front passenger's passive entry door handles at the same time.
MODELS:
2011 (LD) Charger
2011 (LC) Challenger
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to LD and LC vehicles built before July 8, 2011 (MDH 0708XX) equipped with Remote Proximity Keyless Entry (sales code GXD).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer/technician may experience one or more of the following:
^ Diagnostic Trouble Codes: B25AA-01 and/or B25A9-01
^ The message 'Service Keyless System' may be displayed in the EVIC
^ The front driver's and/or front passengers passive entry door handle may be found to function intermittently or to be inoperative after performing standard service procedure diagnostics.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify no DTC's other than those listed above are set. If DTCs are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the customer describes the symptom or if the technician finds the DIG, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove the front driver's and front passenger 5 passive entry door handles. Refer to the procedures available in DealerConnect / TechCONNECT > Group 23 - Body > Door - Front > Handle, Exterior > Removal - REMOVAL.
2. Replace the front driver's and front passengers passive entry door handles.
3. Install the front driver's and front passenger's passive entry door handles. Refer to the procedures available in DealerConnect / TechCONNECT > Group 23 - Body > Door - Front > Handle, Exterior > Installation - INSTALLATION.
4. Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, clear any DTC's that may be present.
5. Ensure the passive entry system is enabled via the EVIC, radio, or Witech (depending on vehicle configuration) and verify system function.
NOTE:
When the old style handles are replaced, the front driver's and front
passenger's passive entry door handles must be replaced at the same time.
This is to ensure that the vehicle is equipped with only the new version of the handle.
