NOTE: Only the 3.6L engine has an electric vacuum pump.

On the 3.6L engine there is an electric vacuum pump (4) located on the front of the engine under the air cleaner body, directly above the idler pulley. The vacuum pump (4) has one electrical connector (3) on a pigtail connected to the mounting bracket (1). The vacuum pump (4) mounts to the bracket (1) with two rubber insulated studs to reduce vibration, and the bracket (1) mounts to the intake manifold with two bolts (2). The vacuum hose has a quick-connect type end (6) with a locking tab (5) at the vacuum pump (4).
