Dome Lamp - Installation

LAMP - SECOND OR THIRD ROW






NOTE: The second and third row seating incandescent dome and the aimable Light Emitting Diode (LED) map/reading lamps are integral to the dome lamp housing (2) in the headliner (1) above the second and third row seating. The dome lamp is turned ON and OFF by the door ajar switches or by the interior lighting thumbwheel of the headlamp switch. The LED map/reading lamps are turned ON or OFF independently by the two map/reading lamp push button switches integral to the dome lamp housing. The incandescent dome lamp bulb is serviceable; however, the LED map/reading lamps as well as the switches, the lamp housing, the lens and the wiring are serviced only as a unit with the dome lamp assembly.

1. Position the dome lamp housing (2) close enough to the headliner (1) mounting hole to access and reconnect the wire harness connector to the back of the lamp.
2. Engage the fixed retainers on the rear of the lamp housing with the rear edge of the mounting hole in the headliner.
3. Slide the lamp rearward far enough to align the front of the lamp housing with the forward edge of the mounting hole in the headliner.
4. Using hand pressure, press the lamp upward firmly and evenly into the headliner mounting hole until the lamp retainers snap into place.
5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
