Pressure Hose
WITH EHPS - PRESSURE
CAUTION: The 3.6L in this vehicle is equipped with an Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump requiring a different fluid. Do not mix power steering fluid types. Damage may result to the power steering pump and system if any other fluid is used. The EHPS system uses fluid which meets material specification MS-11655 or equivalent. Do not overfill.
NOTE: Make sure the O-ring is clean and seats properly.
1. Position the pressure line in the vehicle, start the pressure line fitting (1) in the gear (3) and tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).

2. Insert the pressure line (5) into the pump (3), install the retaining bolt (4) and tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs./177 in. lb.).
3. Install the pressure line to cradle routing clip bolts and tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs./106 in. lb.).
4. Install the pressure line to pump bracket routing clip bolt and tighten to 8 Nm (71 in. lb.).
5. Connect the wiring harness routing clip to the pump bracket.
6. If equipped, install the front skid plate Front
7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
8. Refill the power steering system with fluid and bleed the system Power Steering System Bleeding.
