Axle Shaft Seal - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:






RIGHT SIDE





1. Using Driver Handle (1), Drive Handle Extention and Installer (2), and install NEW axle shaft seal. Lubricate the inside diameter with Mopar(R) Gear and Axle Lubricant to protect seal during halfshaft installation.
2. Install halfshaft. Half Shaft - Installation.

LEFT SIDE





1. Using Driver Handle (1), Drive Handle Extention and Installer (2), and install NEW axle shaft seal. Lubricate the inside diameter with Mopar(R) Gear and Axle Lubricant to protect seal during halfshaft installation.
2. Install halfshaft. Half Shaft - Installation.





3. Remove fill plug (1) to check and adjust rear axle fluid level to the bottom of the fill hole.
4. Reinstall fill plug and torque to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) torque.
