Half Shaft - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:










1. Using axle seal protector (1), install the half shaft into the axel assembly.





2. Install the halfshaft into the hub.





3. Swing the rear knuckle into position.
4. Install the camber link nut and bolt (2) and tighten to specification.
5. Install the tension link nut and bolt (1) and tighten to specification.
6. Install the toe link nut and bolt (4) and tighten to specification.
7. Install the wheel speed sensor bolt (3) and remove the speed sensorand tighten to specification.
8. Install the halfshaft nut and torque to 310 Nm (228 ft. lbs.).
9. Install the rear caliper. Disc Brake Caliper - Installation.

10. Pump brake pedal until caliper pistons and brake pads are seated and a firm brake pedal is obtained.
