Brake Backing Plate - Removal

REMOVAL






NOTE: The backing plate is only serviceable as an assembly with the park brakes attached.

1. Raise and support the vehicle Maintenance.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.

NOTE: When the hub is removed from the knuckle, the bearing must be replaced.

3. Remove the hub/bearing Rear Hub And Bearing - Removal.
4. Remove the backing plate bolts (2), and remove the backing plate assembly (1) from the knuckle.
