NOTE: Right side shown, left side similar. The axle was tilted for the left side removal and should still be tilted to install the left front control arm to cradle bolt.
NOTE: The front control arm to cradle bolt (2) is installed from rear to front so that the nut is installed on the fuel tank side. This is the opposite of the manufacturing installation.
1. Position the control arm (3) on the cradle and install the bolt/nuts (2, 4, 5) at the cradle (3). Do not tighten at this time.
2. For the left lower control arm only, raise the axle, install the left axle bolt and tighten all three axle bolts to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the axle support.
4. Position the knuckle/ball joint into the control arm and with the knuckle tilted out, install the ball joint nut and torque to 205 Nm (151 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the spring Rear Suspension Coil Spring(s) - Installation.

6. Attach the parking brake cable (1) to the retaining bracket (2) and replace tie straps or clips as necessary.
7. Attach the tie straps and clips as removed.
8. Route the cable (2) through the bracket (1) and pull through tight to seat in bracket. Pull back on cable to make sure the cable (2) seated properly.
9. Connect the brake cable end to the equalizer (3).
10. Position the caliper over the rotor, install the slide pins and tighten to 27.5 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
11. Install the slide pin covers (4).
12. Install the wheel Service and Repair.
13. With the vehicle weight on the tires tighten the lower control arm to cradle bolts/nuts (2, 4) to 193 Nm (142 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: The bolt cover cap was removed from the bolt head but fits on the nut after the bolt direction changed from the manufacturing direction.
14. Install the bolt cover cap (2) on the lower control arm to cradle forward nut near the gas tank (1).
