For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information .

- When Monitored:
Anytime the Right Power Sliding Door is in a power open or close operation.

- Set Condition:
This code will set when the Right Power Sliding Door module senses the Right Power Sliding Door Clutch Driver Circuit is over 5 amps for more than 256ms.

1. CHECK FOR DTCS
1. With the scan tool, record the DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.
2. Erase the DTCs.
3. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read the Power Sliding Door Battery Voltage Input.
5. Attempt to operate the Right Power Sliding Door.
6. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor pin fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

2. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR
1. Examine the Right Power Sliding Door for proper alignment, worn or binding rollers and hinges, loose/damaged weatherstrip, and track assembly for wear or anything that would cause an obstruction to proper operation.
2. Manually operate the Power Sliding Door on a known good vehicle and notice the effort needed to open and close for comparison.
3. Especially notice the effort needed to unlatch and close the Right Power Sliding Door.

Were there any mechanical problems found?

Yes

- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Go To 3

3. CHECK THE RIGHT POWER SLIDING DOOR MODULE HARNESS

NOTE: At this time it will be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle. Power Sliding Door Drive Assembly - Removal.
3. Remove the Power Sliding Door Module from the track.
4. Disconnect both module connectors.
5. Using a 12-volt test light, connect one end to the (A959) Fused B(+) circuit and the other to the (Z908/9) Ground in the PSDM C1 harness connector.
6. Turn the ignition on.

NOTE: The test light must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.

Does the test tight illuminate brightly?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the open or high resistance in the (A959) Fused B(+) circuit or the (Z908/9) Ground circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

4. CHECK THE DOOR MOTOR CLUTCH CIRCUIT

NOTE: Be sure the battery is kept fully charged during these tests.

1. Reconnect the PSDM C1 harness connector to the module.
2. Connect a voltmeter between the Door Motor Clutch Driver circuit and the Door Motor Clutch Return circuit in the PSDM C2 (component side) 8 way connection.

Is the voltage between 7.5 and 8.5 volts?

Yes

- Go To 5

No

- Replace the Power Sliding Door Module. Power Sliding Door Module - Installation.
- Programming and Relearning Perform the Power Sliding Door Learn Cycle procedure.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

5. ACTUATE THE DOOR MOTOR CLUTCH CIRCUIT

1. Continue to measure the voltage between the Door Motor Clutch Driver circuit and the Door Motor Clutch Return circuit in the PSDM C2 (component side) 8 way connection.
2. With the scan tool, actuate the Drive Clutch Engage.

Is the voltage between 12.3 and 13.8 volts when the clutch is actuated?
