B2283-AUTO HEADLAMP LEVELING MODULE (AHLM) INTERNAL

Theory of Operation

The Auto headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) is also known as the High Intensity Discharge Translator (HIDT) and they reside in the right headlamp assembly.

- When Monitored:
Continuously with the ignition on and headlamps turned on

- Set Condition:
The code will set if the Auto Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) detects an internal failure





Verify DTC B2283-AUTO HEADLAMP LEVELING MODULE (AHLM) INTERNAL IS ACTIVE

NOTE: If a DTC is set, erase the DTC and attempt to reset the DTC. If the DTC resets, follow test.

1. This is an internal Auto Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM/HIDT) module failure
2. View repair

Does the DTC reset and read: B2283-AUTO HEADLAMP LEVELING MODULE (AHLM) INTERNAL?

Repair

- Replace the Auto Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM/HIDT).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
