Seat Back Recliner - Installation






INSTALLATION






NOTE: The seat back frame can be installed in conjunction with recliner.

1. Position the seat belt buckle to the seat cushion frame if servicing the inboard reclining mechanism.
2. If separated, install the seat back frame to the recliner, Seat Back Frame - Installation.
3. Position the reclining mechanism and seat back frame as an assembly to the seat cushion frame and loosely install the two bolts that secure each reclining mechanism to the frame.
4. Install the two bolts (1, 2) that secure the reclining mechanism to the seat cushion frame on the inboard side. Tighten the bolts to 65 N-m (48 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the two bolts (1, 2) that secure the reclining mechanism to the seat cushion frame on the outboard side. Tighten the bolts to 65 N-m (48 ft. lbs.).
6. Recline the seat back to the fully open position.





7. Attach the cable (2) to the recliner cable guide (1). Make sure the cable is properly installed into the channel of the cable guide.
8. Fold the seat into the flat position.





9. Remove the fastener (1) from the front of the seat riser just outboard of the prop rod.
10. Recline the seat back to the 1st lock position.





11. Position and push downward on the trim to install. Install the two fasteners (1) securing the seat back frame trim. Tighten the fasteners securely.





12. Tuck the seat back trim hiders (3) into position.
13. Install the two fasteners (1) securing the seat back trim (2). Tighten the fasteners securely.
14. Install the seat back cover/foam and seat cushion cover/foam, Seat Back Cover - Installation ,Seat Cushion Cover - Installation.
15. Install the both armrests, Armrest - Installation.
16. Install the seat cushion side shields, Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation.
