REMOVAL

NOTE: Outboard shield shown, inboard shield typical.

NOTE: Passenger seat shown, driver seat typical.

1. Looking from the back of the seat, flip the seat fabric/shield up to expose the rear of the seat frame.
2. Remove the fastener (1) located in the rear of the side shield (2).





3. If servicing the outboard shield, remove the recliner handle, Seat Handle - Removal.





4. If servicing the outboard shield (3), remove the fastener (2) located above the handle.
5. Using or equivalent, pry away to disengage the retaining clip located in the front of the shield (3).
6. Using or equivalent, disengage the retaining clip located in the upper rear of the shield (3) near the release strap (1).
7. Remove the outboard shield (3).





8. If servicing the inboard shield (1), use or equivalent to pry away to disengage the retaining clip located in the front of the shield.
9. If servicing the inboard shield (1), use or equivalent, disengage the retaining clip located in the upper rear of the shield rearward of the seat belt buckle.
10. Remove the inboard shield (1).
