Recliner Cable - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Position the recliner cable (1) into the seat frame.
2. Route the rear portion of the recliner cable (1) through the opening in the seat cushion frame towards the recliner assembly.





3. Attach the cable (2) to the recliner cable guide (1). Make sure the cable is properly installed into the channel of the cable guide.




4. Route the cable assembly (3) rearward to the recliner. Push the cable rearward to engage the cable retainer (2).





5. Attach the cable conduit (1) to the seat frame.
6. Attach the two inboard cable clips (2) to the trigger.





7. Attach the auto full forward cable (1) to the seat riser.





8. Attach the auto full forward cable (1) from the seat cushion frame.
9. Adjust the seat to the fully reclined position.





10. Detach the inboard spring (1) at the actuator bracket (2).





11. Rotate the trigger (1) counterclockwise and hold in place.





12. While holding the trigger, rotate the actuator (1) past the trigger (2).





13. While holding the trigger, install the cable clip (1) onto the actuator.
14. Carefully release the trigger.






NOTE: Make sure seat is in the fully reclined position before installing the spring.

15. Attach the inboard spring (1) to the actuator bracket (2).





16. Attach the recliner cable (1) to the seat cushion frame.





17. Install a zip tie (1) around the cable bundle and secure to the seat frame. Cut off any excess from the zip tie.





18. Position the brain plate (1) to the seat.





19. Install the fastener (1) to the underside of the brain plate (1).
20. Install the flex mat and the seat cover to the cushion frame, Seat Cushion Cover - Installation.
21. Install the side shields, Seat Cushion Side Shields - Installation.
22. Install the recliner handle, Seat Handle - Installation.
23. Pull the handle and cycle the seat to verify the recliner is functioning properly.
