SUBJECT:
Popping Sound From Front End When The Transmission Is Shifted Out Of Park

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves torquing the front engine mount through bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft.lbs.).

MODELS:

2011 (RI) Caravan/Town and Country

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles with 3.6L V6 V.V.T (Sales Code ERB) built after November 22, 2010 MDH (1122XX) and built prior to May 03, 2011 MDH (0503XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Popping sound from front end when the transmission is shifted out of park.

DIAGNOSIS:

If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Raise the vehicle on a suitable hoist





2. Torque the front engine mount through bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) (Fig. 1).

3. Lower the vehicle and return to the customer or dealer inventory.

POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
