Crankshaft Main Bearing

CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING

Tighten the inner main bearing cap bolts 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.) plus 90°.

Install the windage tray with eight main bearing cap bolts.
Tighten the bolts 21 Nm (16 ft. lbs.) plus 90°.

Install the eight main bearing tie bolts.
Tighten the bolts 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.).

Bearing Clearance 0.024 - 0.050 mm (0.0009 - 0.0020 in.)
Bearing Clearance (Max.) 0.050 mm (0.0020 in.)
