Front Door - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Open the front door.
3. Using masking tape or equivalent, apply a strip of tape (1) to the rear fender edge near the door for protection.
4. Support the door with a suitable lifting device.





5. Disengage the front door wire harness boot and connector (1) from the outside of the lower A-pillar.
6. Carefully pull the door wire harness boot and connector out from the A-pillar far enough to access and disconnect the body wire harness connectors (1 & 2).





7. Remove the hinge swing stop bolts (1) from both the upper and lower front door hinges.






NOTE: Have an assistant to aid in removal/installation.

8. Mark the upper and/or lower hinge bracket location on the door.
9. Remove the hinge to door nuts (1, 2) from the door.
10. Remove the hinge to door nuts (3, 4) from the door.





11. Remove the door from the hinges by pulling straight out.
