Brake and/or Accelerator Pedals - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable from battery post.
2. Remove the steering column opening cover Steering Column Opening Cover - Removal.
3. Remove the stop lamp switch Stop Lamp Switch - Removal
4. Remove retainer clip (2) that holds booster push rod (4) to pedal pin. Discard retaining clip (2). It is not to be reused.
5. Slide booster push rod (4) off brake pedal pin.
6. Remove the brake pedal sled upper nut (1)
7. Remove four power brake booster mounting nuts (3)
8. Remove the brake pedal assembly from the vehicle.
