Radiator Crossmember - Installation






INSTALLATION






NOTE: The Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label(s) must be in place for the life of the vehicle. When replacing the component in which the VECI label is adhered, a new VECI label must also be adhered to the new component.

1. Install the hood latch cable to the crossmember.
2. Place radiator crossmember (2) in position on vehicle, Align with paint breaks around bolt heads.
3. Install the bolts (1) attaching the crossmember to the body. Tighten bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.) torque.





4. Reclip the hood latch cable (2) to the hood latch (1).





5. Install the hood latch, Align with paint breaks around bolt heads. Tighten bolts (1) to 13.5 Nm (10 ft. lbs.) torque.
6. Install the two crossmember brace bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.) torque.





7. Install the grille push pins (2) and fastener bolts (3).
8. Verify hood latch operation and hood alignment.
