Hood - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Open hood (2).
2. Mark outline of hinges on inside of hood to aid installation.
3. Disconnect under hood lamp wire connector to engine compartment wire harness if equipped.
4. Disconnect windshield washer hose from hood.
5. Remove the top bolts attaching hood to hinge and loosen the bottom fasteners (1) until they can be removed by hand.
6. With assistance from a helper at the opposite side of the vehicle to support the hood, remove bottom fasteners attaching hood to hinge.
7. Remove the hood from the vehicle.
8. Transfer parts as necessary.
