Transmission Shifter - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Install shifter to studs.
2. Install and tighten the shift mechanism-to-lower console nuts (1) to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.)

3. Install gearshift cable (2, 3) to shift mechanism.





4. Connect the harness connectors (1, 2).





5. Install the shifter knob (1).

6. Verify the shifter and transaxle are both in Park.
7. Loosen the cable adjust bolt, then tighten the bolt to 6 Nm (40 in. lb.).




8. Install the center console Center Console - Installation.
9. Connect battery negative cable.
