Integrated Trailer Brake Module - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the steering column opening cover retaining screws (2).
3. Using a trim stick, remove the steering column opening cover (1) from the instrument panel and position aside.





4. Using a trim stick, from the notch on the bottom, remove the left instrument panel side cover (1).





5. From under the instrument panel, disconnect the integrated trailer brake module (ITBM) electrical connectors (1).






NOTE: One screw on the right front of the ITBM not shown.

6. Remove the three ITBM retainer screws (1).






NOTE: There is a retainer clip on each side of the ITBM near the bottom.

7. Using a trim stick, remove the ITBM (1) from the IP.
