Heated Seat Module - Operation

OPERATION

The Heated Seat Module (HSM) is used to control the functions of the following systems:

- Vented Seats
- Heated Seats
- Heated Steering Wheel

CAUTION: When equipped with a leather wrapped heated steering wheel and replacement of a Heated Seat Module (HSM) is required, the new HSM must be manually configured with a scan tool Programming and Relearning . Failure to follow these instruction may result in damage to the heated steering wheel.

The HSM will automatically configure itself to the heated and vented systems that are installed on the vehicle, with one exception. When equipped with a leather wrapped heated steering wheel, the HSM must be manually configured to the leather steering wheel option, using a scan tool Programming and Relearning.

The HSM will only be on with the engine running. Therefore the heated seats, vented seats, and heated steering wheel will only operate with the engine running. Seat heating and seat venting are independent systems; however, they cannot be actuated at the same time. Turning the vented seats on when the heated seat are already on will turn off the heated seats and vice versa. The heated steering wheel can be on at the same time as either the heated or the vented seats.
