Rear Fender

LAMP - REAR FENDER

NOTE: These lamps are used on vehicles with a pick-up bed and dual rear wheels only. A lamp with an amber lens (3) is located on the rear fender (1) ahead of each rear wheel opening, and a lamp with a red lens (4) is located on the rear fender behind each rear wheel opening. The service procedures are identical for all four of these lamps.

1. Position the rear fender marker lamp (3 or 4) close enough to the mounting hole to access and reconnect the wire harness connector (2) to the connector receptacle of the bulb socket on the back of the lamp lens/housing.
2. Engage the integral retaining clip feature on the front edge of the marker lamp into the front edge of the mounting hole in the rear fender (1).
3. Using hand pressure, press the rear edge of the marker lamp lens/housing toward the front of the vehicle against the spring pressure of the retaining clip, then push the rear edge of the lamp into the rear of the mounting hole in the rear fender.
4. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
