Blind Spot Sensor - Installation

INSTALLATION






1. Position the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) sensor (3) to the mounting bracket on the rear bumper fascia (1).

2. Using hand pressure, press the BSM firmly and evenly into the mounting bracket until the latch tabs (2) are fully engaged.

3. Reconnect the rear bumper fascia wire harness connector (4) to the BSM sensor connector receptacle.

4. Reinstall the rear bumper fascia onto the vehicle. Rear Bumper Fascia - Installation.

5. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

NOTE: If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
