Radio - Removal






REMOVAL

Special Tools:











1. If radio is equipped with an internal hard disk drive (HDD), perform a complete backup of user data, Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery negative cable.

3. Using (C-4755) or equivalent, remove the radio bezel (1).





4. Remove the radio mounting fasteners (1), pull the radio out enough to access the radio harness and antenna(s).





5. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3), AM/FM antenna (1) and (if equipped) SDAR/NAV antenna (2).

CAUTION:
Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.

6. Disconnect the antenna cable(s) (3) by pulling the locking antenna connector (2) away from the radio (1).

7. Remove the radio.
