Front Bumper Reinforcement - Removal






REMOVAL

PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION REINFORCEMENT





NOTE:
BUX vehicles only.

1. Remove the front fascia, Front Bumper Fascia - Removal.

2. Using a china marker or equivalent, mark the position of the pedestrian protection reinforcement brackets (2) on the inboard side of the bumper reinforcement to aid in installation. Repeat on the opposite side.

3. Remove the bolts (1) securing the pedestrian protection reinforcement brackets (2) to the bumper reinforcement. Repeat on opposite side.





4. Remove the pedestrian protection reinforcement (1) from the vehicle.

BUMPER REINFORCEMENT





1. Remove the front bumper fascia (1), Front Bumper Fascia - Removal.





2. Disconnect the air temp sensor electrical connector (2).

3. Remove the air temp sensor push pin (3).

4. Remove all the push pins securing the lower plastic grille (1) to the bumper and support frame.

5. Remove the lower plastic grille (1) from the bumper reinforcement.





6. Support the front bumper reinforcement on a suitable lifting device.

7. Remove the screws (2) one on each side, attaching the front bumper reinforcement to frame rail.

8. Remove the bolts (1) four on each side, attaching the front bumper reinforcement to frame rail.

9. Remove the front bumper reinforcement (3) from the vehicle.
