B1488-00-CABIN EQ MISMATCH PERFORMANCE-

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.

- When Monitored:
With the ignition on.

- Set Condition:
If the Cabin Equalization Curve number value from the Body Control Module (BCM) is not the same as the Cabin Equalization Curve number stored in the RADIO (RRM) for 10 consecutive cycles, then the Radio (RRM) will set this DTC when the concern is present for greater than 10 seconds.





Diagnostic Test

1. CHECK FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on and open one of the front doors.

NOTE: A front door must remain open whenever checking or erasing DTCs.

2. Turn the radio on.
3. With the scan tool, erase Radio (RRM) DTCs.
4. With the scan tool, reset the Radio (RRM).
5. With the scan tool, read Radio (RRM) DTCs.

Does the scan tool display active: B1488-00 CABIN EQ MISMATCH PERFORMANCE?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test .

2. CHECK THE CABIN EQUALIZATION CURVE NUMBER
1. With the scan tool in the BCM ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the Cabin Equalization Curve number.
2. With the scan tool in the Radio (RRM) ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the True value.

NOTE: The Cabin EQ Curve value found in the BCM should match the True value found in the Radio (RRM).

Do the Cabin EQ settings match one another?

Yes

- Replace the Radio (RRM).
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test .

No

- Go To 3

3. VERIFY COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
1. With the scan tool, read the active modules on the BUS.

Does the scan tool show the BCM active on the BUS?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Manufacturer Code Charts and perform the No Response From Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic procedure.

4. CHECK THE BCM FOR ACTIVE DTCs
1. With the scan tool, erase BCM DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off. Wait approximately 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.

Are any active DTCs present?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.

No

- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM). Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test .
