Horn Switch - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING:
To avoid serious or fatal injury on vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, airbag, seat belt tensioner, impact sensor or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the SRS. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment.
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the Driver AirBag (DAB) from the steering wheel. Driver Air Bag - Removal.
3. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column. Removal.

6. Still working from the back of the steering wheel (1), remove the two screws (2) that secure the rear trim cover (3) to the back of the steering wheel armature near the hub.
7. Disengage the steering wheel wire harness from the routing features on the interior surfaces of the steering wheel rear trim cover.
8. Disconnect the steering wheel wire harness from the horn switch pigtail wire harness and, if equipped, from the remote radio switches.
