1.6, 1.7, & 2.2L Engine (Holley Staged 2BBL Carburetor)

1. Remove air cleaner crossover assembly.

2. Remove canister purge and air pump diverter valve vacuum hose from carburetor.

3. Locate and center punch 1/4" from end of mixture screw housing. The center punch mark should be indexed at about the 10:00 o'clock position (see Figure 1).
4. Using a 3/16" drill bit, drill through the outer section of the mixture screw housing at the center punch mark.


5. When this procedure is followed, the concealment plug will generally pop out as the drill bit enters the plug cavity. However, there will be cases when it becomes necessary to use a small drift, punch, or "L" shaped Allen wrench to pry out plug. Retain plug for reinstallation.

CAUTION: NEVER PLACE ANY TOOL AGAINST THE MIXTURE SCREW DURING THIS OPERATION.

6. Reinstall vacuum hoses and air cleaner crossover.

7. Perform propane idle RPM adjustment per applicable service manual procedure.

8. Reinstall concealment plug.
