Dashpot

Manual Transmission Only
To adjust the dashpot, have the curb idle speed and mixture properly adjusted, and install a tachometer. Position throttle lever so that actuating tab on lever is contacting stem of dashpot but not depressing it. Tachometer should read 2500 RPM if the setting is correct. If not correct, screw dashpot in or out as required, then tighten lock nut on dashpot against the bracket.
