Fuel Pump: Description and Operation

The fuel pump is controlled by the SBEC via the Auto Shutdown (ASD) Relay. When the engine controller receives an input signal from the hall-effect switch, it grounds the circuit to the ASD relay. When the ASD relay is energized (grounded), then power is allowed to flow to the fuel pump.
