Technician Safety Information

CAUTION: Certain components of the ABS system are not intended to be serviced individually.
- Attempting to remove or disconnect certain components, such as the hydraulic accumulator and valve block, may result in personal injury and/or improper system operation.
- Only those components with approved removal and installation procedures should be serviced.

CAUTION: The brake assembly should be cleaned using a vacuum recommended for use with asbestos fibers.
- The vacuum bag must be labeled according to OSHA instructions.
- Technicians should wear toxic dust purifying respirators.

CAUTION: Illumination of the red BRAKE warning lamp may indicate reduced braking ability.
- A vehicle that has the BRAKE warning lamp "on" should not be driven except to perform diagnostic procedures.
