Using A Digital Volt/Ohmmeter For Resistance Measurements
When using a digital volt/ohmmeter to check resistance, make sure you determine any built in resistance of the meter by touching both leads together. For example, after touching leads together, meter indicates 0.6 ohms. This is your 0 point. When checking the circuit resistance 0 ohms would be 0.6 ohms and 1/2 ohm resistance would be 1.1 ohms.
