Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove wiper arms and cowl grille weatherstrip.
2. Remove plastic anchor screws and lift cowl grille from vehicle, then disconnect washer hoses from supply hose at Y-fitting. Set cowl grille aside.
3. Remove wiper linkage mounting bolts, then invert linkage and unplug harness and ground tab connectors from motor.
4. Remove crank arm from drive link by prying retainer bushing from crank arm pin with a suitable screwdriver.
5. Remove three screws and motor, then the nut securing crank arm to motor drive shaft.
6. Remove crank arm from motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque crank arm mounting nut to 11 ft-lbs
b. Torque motor mounting screws to 55 in-lbs
