Reading Lamp - Installation

INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Always use the correct bulb size and type for replacement. An incorrect bulb size or type may overheat and cause damage to the lamp, the socket or the lamp wiring.

NOTE: The reading lamps are integral to the mini overhead console in the headliner near the windshield.





1. Align the ends of the bulb (2) with the two bulb holders (1) within the mini overhead console lamp housing.
2. Carefully press the bulb firmly and evenly into the bulb holders until it snaps into place.





3. Position the shield (1) over the lamp reflector (2) and bulb (3) within the lamp housing.
4. Using hand pressure, push both sides of the shield up into the housing to secure it into place.





5. Engage the switch tab (1) on the rearward edge of the lens (2) between the mini overhead console and the switch plunger.
6. Position the pivots on both forward sides of the lens over the pivot pins (3) in the lamp housing.
7. Using hand pressure over both lens pivots, press upward firmly and evenly until both pivots snap into place.
8. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
