BW 44-45 Transfer Case - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Mount the transfer case (2) on a transmission jack.
2. Secure the transfer case to the jack with chains.
3. Position the transfer case under the vehicle.
4. Align the transfer case and transmission shafts and install the transfer case onto the transmission (1).
5. Install and tighten the transfer case attaching nuts to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) torque.
6. Remove the transmission jack and the support stand.
7. Connect the vent hose.
8. Connect the shift motor and the mode sensor wiring connectors (3).
9. Connect the front and rear output speed sensor wire connectors.
10. Align and connect the propeller shafts..
11. Fill the transfer case with fluid. .
12. Install the skid plate, if equipped.
13. Lower the vehicle and verify proper transfer case shift operation.
