SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Vehicle may exhibit die out at idle with a fully warmed up engine and the A/C compressor engaged (A/C or defrost button depressed).
DIAGNOSIS
The vehicle must be fully warmed up, at rest, and the A/C compressor engaged to verify the die out condition. Since this condition may be difficult to verify, customers who bring this condition to your attention should have the repair procedure performed.

Revised single module engine controller.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair involves the replacement of the original engine controller (SMEC) with a revised one.
1. Remove the SMEC using the procedure outlined in the service manual.
2. Install the new SMEC.
