DISCUSSION:
It is very important that no sheet metal screws, bolts or other metal fasteners be installed in the shock towers in place of plastic clips. Also, no holes should be drilled in the shock tower for installation of any metal fasteners (see illustration, area "A").
Because of the minimum clearance in this area, installation of metal fasteners could damage the coil spring coating. If a plastic clip is lost or broken, replace the clip with the equivalent part called out in the appropriate Mopar Parts Catalog.
