Flexible Fuel Systems
When releasing fuel pressure on Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFV) use methanol resistant gloves and eye protection. Avoid prolonged skin contact with liquid or breathing of vapors. Persons taking medications containing DISULFIRAM such as ANTIBUSE should avoid contact with liquids or vapors from methanol based fuels.1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove fuel filler cap.

3. Remove protective cap from fuel pressure test port on fuel rail.
4. Place open end of fuel pressure release hose tool No. C-4799-1, or equivalent, into approved container.
5. Connect other end of hose to pressure test port.
6. Fuel pressure will bleed off through hose into container.
