Turbocharger - Lubrication System Defect

SUBJECT:
TURBOCHARGER LUBRICATION SYSTEM

VEHICLES: ALL LEGEND INDUSTRIES TURBO SPIDERS

CONDITION: Excessive amount of lubricant entering turbocharger bearing chamber.

CAUSE: Oversized orifice in union connecting oil supply line to turbocharger.



SERVICE

INFORMATION: It is recommended, whenever a Turbo Spider is in your shop for servicing, that this union be checked. Disconnect the oil inlet hose at the union and check that the orifice measures 0.080 in. (+/- .015 in.). If not replace with the correct union and a new gasket. Mark the union with a paint spot on one of the flats to signify that the union has been checked and is the correct size.
