Diagnostic Link Connector - DLC, Cover Must Be Removed From U.S. And Canadian Market Vehicles
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves removing the Diagnostic Link Connector, DLC, cover for OBD compliance.
MODELS:
2012 (FF) Fiat 500
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to FF vehicles built between December 17, 2010 (MDH 1217XX) and July 29, 2011 (MDH 0729XX) equipped with U.S. Market Specifications (sales code YAA) or Canada Market Specifications (sales code YAC).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle reviewed and approved by CARB did not have a connector cover installed.
Removal of the connector cover is necessary to maintain OBD compliance.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer's VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other vehicles that are equipped with a Diagnostic Link Connector cover, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Remove and discard the Diagnostic Link Connector cover (Fig. 1).
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
