Timing Components: Description and Operation
DESCRIPTIONThe timing drive system has been designed to provide quiet performance and reliability to support a
NON free-wheeling engine.
The timing drive components include a crankshaft sprocket (2), camshaft sprocket (5), tensioner pulley (4) and a
timing belt (1). The water pump (3) is also driven by the timing belt. The camshaft sprocket is not keyed to the
camshaft.
