Vehicle Tracking Module - Description

DESCRIPTION

The Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM) is an electronic module responsible for monitoring vehicle position and for communication with a Service Provider (SP). The VTM informs the Service Provider, basically, about vehicle position and speed. The SP sends requests to VTM to maintain the status of the vehicle unblocked or blocked.





The Vehicle Tracking Module (VTM) (1) is located underneath the instrument panel above the steering column. The VTM is mounted to the HVAC unit and the instrument panel support beam.





The VTM is made up of several components:

- Backup battery access cover (1)
- Vehicle Theft Module (VTM) (2)
- VTM Mounting bracket (3)
- VTM to mounting bracket retainers (4)
- VTM backup battery (5)
- Service Provider Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card (6)
